The land was cleaned up and more than 7,000 trees were planted. Today there are lagoons, six hotels, a golf course and the beach.
Banyan Tree Phuket opened in 1994. The villas stand among gardens and lagoons, each with its own pool.
Many of the homes are not new. The tropical climate wears out pipes, tiles and timber. So we renew villas completely.
